Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Grant Writer to join our team at The Arc of the South Shore, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for developing compelling grant proposals that align with our mission and vision. Your contributions will play a vital role in securing funding to support our programs and initiatives. You will be responsible for researching, writing and coordinating the grant application process including follow up and database management.
Responsibilities:

  • Write high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents, including all concept papers, letters of intent, and grant reports
  • Responsible for researching, collecting data, and writing each grant and grant reports
  • Work with Department Managers/Directors to compile program and financial information and develop program budgets
  • Manage the proposal submission process to ensure timely submission of all required materials
  • Maintain the agency’s proposal calendar and coordinate with Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer to track and acknowledge all grants
  • Coordinate and follow-up on the progress of submitted proposals
  • Gather data and evaluate the impact of funded programs.
  • In conjunction with The Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer, Chief Executive Officer and Department Leadership to oversee implementation of grant-funded projects to ensure compliance with reporting requirements
  • Develop an annual grant strategy in conjunction with the Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer
  • Conduct prospect research to identify, cultivate, and solicit new grants
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in research and grant writing, preferably in a non-profit setting. Knowledge of disability services preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Demonstrated success in writing grant proposals.
  • Knowledge of Southeastern MA area foundations and corporations preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and deadline driven with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with program directors, finance staff, and potential funders.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Pay: $35.00 - $39.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
