Woodward's Red Carpet Fundraising Gala
We are thrilled to invite you to The Woodward School for Girls' 130th Anniversary Red Carpet Gala on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at 6:30 pm. This elegant evening will take place at the historic Woodward School, located at 1102 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA. As we celebrate this milestone, we will also honor this year’s distinguished recipients of the Woodward Woman of Distinction award, recognizing their outstanding contributions to our community and their embodiment of the values that define our school. Founded in 1869 by Dr. Ebenezer and Mary Greenleaf Woodward, The Woodward School has been a beacon of educational excellence for young women, deeply rooted in the values championed by President John Adams and his wife, Abigail Adams. The sacrifices and generosity of these visionary leaders remain a critical source of inspiration for everything we do at Woodward to carry on their enduring legacies. Our school community is diverse and vibrant: Students hail from 35 different towns and cities across the South Shore and Greater Boston. 50% of our students identify as persons of color. 75% receive financial aid to support their education. 100% of our graduates enroll in college. The Woodward School offers a comprehensive academic program, including college courses, experiential learning opportunities, and a commitment to both the arts and athletics. Our core values, represented by the acronym GIRLS—Generosity of spirit, Integrity of character, Respect & Responsibility, Leadership through inspiration, and Scholarship through lifelong learning—are at the heart of everything we do. This Red Carpet Gala is an opportunity to support and invest in the future of women, ensuring that The Woodward School continues to foster the next generation of leaders. On behalf of the board, staff, and students at The Woodward School for Girls, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your sponsorship and support as we come together to celebrate our past, present, and future. This version emphasizes the red carpet aspect of the event and the honor being bestowed
