Winter Wonderland Holiday Fair
HELPING NEIGHBORS, SHARING LOVE Our Fair has a purpose! Funds raised will support the local, hands-on, face-to-face ministry called LAUNDRY LOVE. This significant, practical project is organized and led by Karen DeCristofaro, representing the Mission Ministry. Once a month, volunteers from QPCC are on hand at the local Wash N Dry to cover the cost of laundry machines and detergent. Twenty to thirty people usually participate each month. The cost is about $300+ each session. Our goal is to generate sufficient funds at the fair to cover the costs of LAUNDRY LOVE for a year. EVERYONE DESERVES THE DIGNITY OF CLEAN CLOTHES! Featuring: FAVORITE FAIR TABLES AND ITEMS RETURN TO THE FAIR Yes, you’ll be able to find Carole’s Cards and those popular Catnip Pillows plus “Grab and Go” gifts. You may shop at our MADE IN VERMONT table. Shoppers will find hand-made holiday tabletop items : placemats, table runners, hot pads, etc. Lunch will be offered at the fair as well as free coffee and free gift bags. You will find Denise’s Hats, apple pies, jams and jellies, cookies and candy. NEW THIS YEAR Thanks to an idea inspiration of Em Elmore, there will be a KIDS ONLY table where children may shop for gifts for special people in their lives. All items “will fit a child’s budget.” and last but certainly not least. MAKING MEALS, SHARING STORIES A Narrative Cookbook from Quincy Point We are hopeful our new cookbook will be ready and available for sale at the Winter Woodland Holiday Fair. Besides recipes the book offers personal remembrances and historical reflections about the shipbuilding legacy of “The Point.” Hosting a Game Day Gathering this weekend? How about Homemade Chili for a Crowd, Cheesy Ham and Pineapple Bake or Chickie’s Taco Salad? Looking for something new to make for dinner- Check out our FAVORITE DINNER DISHES AND SIDES chapter. Searching for a meatless meal? How about Vegetarian Chili or a Veggie Wrap. Unique features include an entire chapter on AFTERNOON TEA and instructions for assembling a Charcuterie Board. Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will support EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS for Quincy Public School students who do not have the economic resources to provide basic, daily essentials to get to school and stay in school. This could include clothing, footwear, personal care items, supplies for school work and homework.
