Small Business Launch Program-Spring 2017

Starting a new business can be an exciting and rewarding venture if you are prepared. This FREE  four-week  program is being offered through the Quincy Chamber of Commerce as a result of a Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation Grant and will be run by Key 360 Advisors.

Key 360 Advisors, is a strategic consulting firm with expertise in start up to mid market companies. Founded by a team of experienced entrepreneurs who have successfully started and built several new businesses as well as managed them through growth. Key 360 Advisors specializes in business planning, sales strategy, marketing, financial planning, funding for small businesses and more.

The Small Business Launch Program will include four sessions over a four week period. The sessions will begin at 6pm at the Quincy Chamber of Commerce, 180 Old Colony Ave (3rd floor). The topics and content for the sessions include:

  • Wednesday 3/8/2017     Business Plan 101 (2 hours). Business plan basics.  One of the most important tools you will need for a new business.
 
  • Wednesday 3/15/2017   Legal and Insurance (1.5 hours). Panel Discussion –  Important decisions you need to make before starting your new business.
 
  • Wednesday 3/22/2017   Marketing and Sales Strategies (2 hours). Learn important strategies key to growing a business. Discuss best practices from experienced entrepreneurs.​

  • Wednesday 3/29/2017   Business Financials (2 hours). Learn key financial terms and understand how to create financials and projections that will allow you to better understand and grow your business.  Discuss financing/capital raising options.
    
About Mass Growth Capital:
MGCC works to create and preserve jobs at Massachusetts small businesses, women and minority owned businesses, and promotes economic development in underserved, Gateway Cities and low and moderate income communities. MGCC is a central state resource that offers working capital, loan guarantees, and targeted technical assistance to solve specific financial and operational problems for local businesses. About Mass Growth Capital-Small Business Technical Assistance Grant Program:
MGCC’s Small Business Technical Assistance Grant program is a state funded program designed to complement and enhance the traditional public and private small business assistance network.  Small Business Technical Assistance Grant Program builds operational capacity and skills of organizations that are providing technical assistance, education, and access to capital to small businesses with 20 employees or fewer, and businesses owned by women, minorities, and to veterans businesses located in low and moderate income and underserved communities across the state. The grant recipients, selected in a competitive process, are as diverse as the businesses they serve.  They include community development corporations, micro-lenders and chambers of commerce that are committed to helping small business flourish and improving their regional economy with locally driven solutions.
