CELEBRATING QUINCY QUARRIES!
Filming Quincy Quarries, Part 2
Do you know anyone who hung out at the quarries in 1967? Shown for the first time in Quincy is Quarry, a 13 minute documentary "slice of life" art film showing kids diving into the Granite Rail Quarry, hanging out, and talking about Vietnam. Richard Rogers, who created the film while he was a student at Harvard, later became a professor there. Excerpts from The Cardinal, The Invention of Lying and Gone Baby Gone will also be screened. There will be an opportunity for the public to share any experiences they had at the quarries over the years and to identify any of the people in the documentary!
